The Rules

insanelyi Staff assume all Members have read these rules and will not accept ignorance as an excuse for violating them.

Breaking any of these rules may result in a warning, temporary, or even permanent ban from insanelyi.

Do not take this risk!

General - Site Wide
1.0 The insanelyi site is aimed towards a general audience. Explicit and vulgar language, drug talk, nudity, pornography, violence, gore, and so forth is not allowed.

1.1 Member's must have 20 posts in order to use the Shoutbox or have the ability to post in the Requests forum. User's caught spamming to increase their post count will get an instant ban. VIP Membership grants these abilities instantly.

1.2 Do not mini-mod. We would like to encourage our Members to report everything to a Staff Member, without adding their own criticism. Examples of this include - "warn this user", "ban this user", etc. This also includes making remarks in Shoutbox. Once a Staff Member is involved, stay out of it, do not comment, do not intervene unless asked to do so.

1.3 All publicly displayed messages are limited to English only. This includes posts, titles, signatures, profiles, and other forms of public display unless told otherwise by a Staff Member.

1.4 When posting a new topic; please do not name the topic title as something similar to "HELP ME" - Instead, a better topic would be "Help Needed Installing Ayecon Theme" - It looks better, and more people will respond to it that way. It also provides others looking for assistance an easy way to search for your post.

1.5 Signatures must not contain anything explicit, nudity, or porn. The same rule applies for avatars.

1.6 Do not create a new thread on a topic that is currently already in discussion. Regardless as to whether you "feel" you deserve to have your own thread, the existing thread should be used unless a Staff Member instructs otherwise.

1.7 insanelyi Staff reserve the right to lock and/or delete any posts or threads which they deem irrelevant or frivolous at their discretion.

1.8 Please use the SEARCH feature of the forums before posting. There is a good chance someone else may have already asked the same question and received an answer.

1.9 No alternate accounts are allowed. You are not, under any circumstances, allowed to make multiple accounts for the same user. When you get caught (and you will), it will be dealt with accordingly, at the discretion of insanelyi Staff. All involved accounts being banned will be considered.

1.10 Impersonating Staff Members is not allowed. This includes telling others you are Staff or having Staff badges as your avatar.

1.11 All members have the option to alter the appearance of their nicknames. This is not an invivation to abuse it. Using colors that suggest you are part of another group is frowned upon (i.e. changing nickname color to red to match the Administrator's group - (see 1.10). Staff Members reserve the right to request/insist that you change the appearance at their discretion.
1.11a insanelyi also does not place a lot of restrictions on nicknames. Again this is NOT an invitation to use lude, rude, or otherwise unusual nicknames. Swear words, the use of non alpha-numeric characters, and so on are not recommended. Staff Members reserve the right to request/insist that you change your nickname at their discretion.

1.12 Do not abuse the Reputation system, give it out accordingly and correctly. Remember, once you rep+ or rep- someone, it can't be undone so decide wisely. Don't ask for it, if a Member feels you deserve to be recognized, you will be.
1.13 While we have made every effort possible to minimize the effects of advertisements on insanely.com, some users may still choose to use tweaks or tools to bypass them.  Should you choose to do so, we cannot stop you, but do not glorify the fact. These ads are one of our main sources of income and without them, we could not properly maintain the services we offer.  It is therefore not an acceptable topic for discussion.

1.14 The Forums are to be used for all support/troubleshooting issues. Do not use Shoutbox or iChat!; These areas offer our Members a live means to communicate with each other and have a bit of fun, do not clutter them with technical or troubleshooting issues. Basic support (i.e. a single yes/no question) is acceptable, but please use some common sense. 

Spam and Advertising
2.0 We do not tolerate spam. In short, do not post small or useless posts that are not relevant or helpful to the topic being discussed. If you post a one-lined message such as "lol", "+1", etc... it is classified as spam.

2.1 Do not PM a Staff Member numerous times saying the same thing to try and speed up an answer. We receive the PM's you get. There is no need to keep sending them.

2.2 Forum signatures are to be used respectfully, so don't annoy our Members by making your sig into your personal ad revenue opportunity. (ie: advertising and/or reference/affiliate codes in your sig or posts is prohibited).

2.3 As upset or happy as you may be in real life, it's not always appropriate to ask for feedback or spark discussion on personal matters. Please keep this in mind.

2.4 Any images or links deemed by Staff to be attempting to detract or compete with insanelyi may be considered advertisements and are subject to intervention. This includes hotlinking to external sites anywhere on insanelyi.com.
Let us be clear; linking to a SPECIFIC topic, a thread that discusses a particular problem on an external site, is permitted but ONLY to the extent necessary to illustrate your point, and ONLY if there is no existing related thread on insanelyi.

2.5 If you feel justified posting an external link, if necessary explain why in as much detail as possible. insanelyi' Staff reserve the right to decide whether any exceptions are acceptable for any reason or reasons they see fit.

Blind linking for advertising, comparison reasons, or anything Staff deem unacceptable will be deleted/removed, and a warning may be issued.
Offensive Posts
3.0 Do not post offensive, abusive, obscene, hateful, discriminating, or harmful posts.

3.1 Try to limit the use of cursing or swear words as much as possible. All we ask is that you be reasonable.

3.2 Follow basic netiquette rules. For example, DO NOT ever type in ALL CAPS. This applies to both topic titles and the post messages, as this is considered yelling.

3.3 Never, under any circumstances post personal information of anyone; pictures, or any other material. Things of this nature are sensitive and are not condoned.

3.4 All warnings/bans given by the insanelyi Staff are final. insanelyi Staff Members reserve the right to ignore any requests to modify a warning/ban.

3.5 If you are a long standing Member, act like one; lead by example and assist other newer users rather than attacking them. We look upon our veteran users to use this opportunity to teach the newer users the appropriate way to conduct themselves in this community.

3.6 Personal attacks such as instigating "flame bait", verbal abuse, mocking or sexist remarks of Members in posts are not tolerated at insanelyi. Such posts will be deleted on sight or moderated accordingly.

3.7 Posts in a particular forum need to stay on topic.
How To Post
4.0 Use descriptive subject lines and research your post. This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do or don't want to read.

4.1 Keep the focus. Each forum section has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain section will either be moved to the appropriate board, locked, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate section.

4.2 DO NOT bump topics. Doing so causes unnecessary clutter within the forums.

4.3 When possible, use insanelyi's own Uploader (we don't need a bunch of dead images down the road). Posts and threads also have file attachment capabilities accessable through the Full Editor.

4.4 If you would like to upload images from mobile, you will need Safari Upload Enabler from Cydia. Once installed, you're free to use insanelyi's Uploader.
Fulfilling Requests
5.0 All requests must be posted under the Requests forum.

5.1 If we feel the need to upload it, we will. Be patient.

5.2 Any Intelliborn products will not be fulfilled.

5.3 Any package with little to heavy DRM will not be fulfilled.
Submitting Packages
insanelyi's Repo is one of its main communication outlets. To some extent, the number and quality of items made available, are part of what gives insanelyi its image and reputation within the community.

It is therefore vital that we maintain an extremely high level of control in this area. Strict adherence to these requirements will be maintained at all times.

6.0 The Submission Form is for Cydia Packages targeted for uploading to insanelyi's Repo. It is not for Requests.

6.1 Only submit your own, original work. This includes new and updated packages.
Respect the Authority of Staff
7.0 Public discussions of Staff Member actions are not allowed. It is also prohibited to protest Staff Member actions in titles, avatars, signatures, or in Shoutbox. If you do not like something a Staff Member has done or said, DO NOT discuss this in the forums. If necessary, use a PM or email to contact the Staff Member and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in a private manner.

7.1 Public discussion of a Banned Member or why such user was banned is prohibited. The user either broke the rules, or was banned at the Staff's discretion.

7.2 Staff Members have final say in any dispute. They have been instilled with special privileges due to the trustworthiness and dedication they show to the site. All Staff have the right, without question, to violate any rule herein they deem necessary for the benefit of the site. Site Administration reserves the right to grant the same privilege under extrenuating circumstances to certain users. Staff have supreme authority, and as such, all grievances are to be directed to Site Administration if you feel it necessary.
Reporting Abuse
8.0 If you have a complaint about another Member, problems with other Members, etc., please try to resolve the problem in a personal message. If necessary, address a Staff Member by reporting their post.

8.1 If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report it to a Staff Member. Do NOT attempt to resolve it yourself (see 1.2). Repeat offenders may be banned from the forums. As well, further actions may be taken depending on the circumstances and severity of the violations.

8.1a Reporting someone's post for an unnecessary reason, no matter what the circumstances are, is strictly forbidden. This includes reporting Staff Member's posts or your own.
Banned Members
9.0 Regular, VIP, and Platinum Members always have priority over Banned Members. Banned Members got banned for a reason. It's their own fault.

9.1 insanelyi Staff are not required to notify the user why he or she was banned, although we will most likely do so.

9.2 Should you be disciplined with a restriction or ban, you are not allowed to open a new account to obtain freedom to post. If another account is opened, that account will be banned immediately, and the original account will be further penalized.
Account Issues
10.0 We DO NOT allow Members to sell, trade, give away, swap or exchange their accounts/subscriptions. If we become aware that this has happened then the new and original account holders will both be permanently banned.

10.1 Due to the nature of the services/subscriptions offered within the site, insanelyi.com does not provide refunds.

11.0 This document may be modified at any time as required and without notice.

It is YOUR responsibility to ensure you are familiar with these rules in their current state at all times!

If you happen to violate these rules, any the following actions may be undertaken :

Edit or removal of post(s)
The locking or deletion of topics
24 hour ban per offense
Edit of signature or avatar if in violation of rules
Increase of the Warning Level
All posts will require moderator approval
Removal of offender's posting rights
Suspension of the offender's user account
Ban/Deletion of the offender's user account
IP Ban of the offender's user account
Other punishments felt necessary by Administration.
