how to watch movies from phone on TV?

ok so i bought a set of a/v cables that plug into the phones dock connections and have 3 rca jacks..2audio 1 video.. i plug into my tv and get nothing.. they are some after market gigaware brand and were advertised to play iphone movies on tv... i tried resupported4 1.5-1 and just crashes the ipod app when selecting movie.. any advice?

Hey man I've done this before I bought 3rd party av cables and they just don't work, well I did them to work once on an earlier fw using one of those tweaks from cydia but I've since then bought an apple VGA set up and it worked for mirroring on my iPad 1. So in my experience I suggest getting official apple av or vga ( which doesn't do sound so av would be better) and all apps that support it will work. Third party once are just not supported at least most of them.
