I've downloaded iTransmission and iTransmission 2. The first one seems to work for others, but how can I add torrents? When I put the magnet from Piratebay, it says that the .torrent isn't in my filesystem. Could somebody tell me how to use it?

Donations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

iTransmission still has problems with magnet URI's so just use the .torrent from other sites. I use KickAss Torrents & 1337x because they use torcache links.

******NOTE: the name's of the sites are links

Which iTransmission is recommended? 1 or 2? I found 1 was more... Legit looking.

Donations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Lets find out, I'm downloading both.

Off the bat: their both made by 2 different people:

iTransmission 1: v1.1 b22 by: "Mike Chen".
iTransmission 2: v2.0 b30 by: "Beecher Adams".

iTransmission 1 states that it works on: iOS 4.0 minimum for all devices, and iOS 3.2 for iPad.
iTransmission 2 does NOT state what iOS it works for.

You can NOT install BOTH at the same time.
Am going to install iTransmission 1 first, then iTransmission 2.

iTransmission 1

To make iTransmission download faster, open iTransmission and tap on the Gear icon on the bottom center.
Slide BOTH of the Connections sliders all the way to the RIGHT, this should be 80 for Maximum connections and 80 for Connections per torrent.
Then just set your upload speed to 30kb like the app says.

To add a torrent to iTransmission 1, you do NOT have to have it open BEFORE navigating to your .torrent.
Once you are on the .torrent page, copy the URL, open iTransmission, tap the + in the lower left and Add from URL.
You will also need to hit Resume.
For what ever reason, the torrents start paused.

To add a magnet link, copy the magnet by tapping and holding down until Copy appears.
Then tap on the + in the lower left and Add from Magnet.

Make sure NOT to lock your device / switch from Wi-Fi to Cellular data.
This will pause your torrent download and probably freeze / crash the app or JUST the download.
You have to close iTransmission and reopen in then resume your torrent for it to work again on Wi-Fi.
It's best to download a tweak to keep your Wi-Fi alive when locked or set your Auto-Lock time to never.

You can NOT add Trackers MANUALLY, they HAVE TO be added from more .torrents or magnet links.
You can NOT add 2 of the same .torrents or add a magnet link to an exsiting download.
Because of this, it is recommended to add ONLY Magnet links as these provide more trackers on average then .torrents do.

To select what files you want to download: tap on the torrent, tap on files, then check the ones you want to download.

To delete a torrent download, open iTransmission, click on Edit in the upper left, check the torrent download, tap on the Trash Can icon in the lower right and choose your option to delete ALL FILES, or just the .torrent.

If you want to add all the trackers from a .torrent and a magnet and other .torrents for the same download, well too bad: it deletes the torrent that stores the information holding all trackers.

DO NOT SEED YOUR FINISHED TORRENT DOWNLOADS!!!

TAP ON PAUSE TO PAUSE THE TORRENT!!!

THEN TAP EDIT IN THE UPPER LEFT,
CHECK THE FINISHED TORRENT,
THEN TAP THE TRASH CAN ICON IN THE LOWER RIGHT,
THEN TAP ON: "Yes but keep files".

iTransmission 2

iTransmission 2 has a crappy UI.

iTransmission 2 downloads faster than iTransmission 1.

If you want me to put the guide up here for iTransmission 2, reply quoting just this one line of text.
