Hi. I'm new to the iphone scene.

I messed with the dpkg file, but did copy it before the time, now I can set the premission because I don't have openssh on my phone and cydia won't work because of the error.

Please help me?

Another question, is there a way to unlock a iphone 4s just with software?

My phone is a 4s

IOS 5.1.1

BB 2.0.12

I'm curious why you didn't post here http://insanelyi.com/forum/97-cydia-errors/ 2nd forum on our board ?

You can reinstall the deb with dpkg by putting it in the AutoInstall directory and rebooting. Are you familiar with this method ?

Yes I am familiar with that method.

I have tried to install other apps like it, and it worked on the other. Does the cydia deb have a dpkg file in it?

Where do I get the deb file, then I will try to do it that way. Because if I try other deb files it gives me the error in cydia. Must I put it in cydia autoinstall folder?

Another question, is there a way to unlock a iphone 4s just with software?

I downloaded cydia.deb & cydia 1.1.4 iphoneos arm.deb. i copied it Into autoinstall of cydia and restarted and opened cydia it didnt do anything, it gave me the same error when i wanted to delete something or install something.

Did i do something wrong?

Try installing with iFile, if you dont have iFile, install iFile through AutoInstall. I dont think your supposed to install Cydia through AutoInstall. Maybe try re-jailbreaking your iDevice with Install Cydia checked.
