iOS 10.2 Emoji for iOS 9.0+ (Update)

97 posts in this topic

Description:

This package will get you iOS 10.2 emoji's on your device running iOS 9+.

Normally you have to install a font and a bunch of tweaks to get this to work.

I simply grabbed the font and converted it into an Anemone font and combined it with the 2 required tweaks into one package.

For Anemone:

iOS 10.2 emoji:

- This package includes Emoji10 and EmojiAttributes. If you have one of them installed, please remove it from Cydia first before installing this deb file.

- This requires the latest version of Anemone from the BigBoss repo..

- Only works for iOS 9 - 9.3.3!

1. Install this deb: Emoji10_for9.0+_Anemone_Update6.deb

2. Open Anemone, go to "Fonts" tab, enable Emoji10 Font and press Apply. :)

3. Profit :troll:

New!
Without Anemone or BytaFont!

Thanks to Poomsmart i was able to build a new package that doesn't require Anemone or BytaFont!!

Instructions:

1. Install this deb file and respring: Emoji10_for9.0+_No_Anemone_or_BytaFont_v1.1.deb
2. Then open Settings, go down to EmojiFontManager, select "Emoji10Font" and press Respring.
3. Profit

Instructions for switching from Anemone dependent package to new package:

1. Open Anemone and disable Emoji10 font in "Fonts" tab and Apply.
2. Open Cydia and remove the old Emoji10 for Anemone package. (Make sure you respring!!)
3. Then use the instructions from above to install the new package.

Note:

If you're seeing duplicated emoji then do the following:

With Filza go to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences

Then remove com.apple.EmojiPreferences.plist and respring.

Biggest file is installed to /Library/Themes which is in the user partition. ;) (the font)

So yeah it won't affect the low space in root.

Got error code 256. Did clear UI cache, but still the same. Even uninstalled the previous version and tried the new one. Still error code 256

Updated topic AGAIN.. :p

Removed EmojiPatch from the package as it caused double emoji showing up..

Also updated the Emoji10 part of the package with fixes for Professions/Genders and Flags.

Download the new deb and install over the one you have currently installed.

Make sure the download is complete before attempting to install the deb file. ;) (+/- 93 MB)

I don't use this because apparently a lot of people aren't on iOS 10.2 and some platforms aren't using it.

I will install this again when iOS 10.2 drops public and all platforms support it.

Added a .deb to use with BytaFont 3 since a lot of people don't want to use Anemone. ;)

Remove any Emoji10 packages from Cydia and then restore original Emoji backup in BytaFont.

If that doesn't fix it then with Filza go to:

/var/mobile/Library/Preferences

Then remove com.apple.EmojiPreferences.plist and respring.

I knew it was a bad idea to add a BytaFont version.. I hate that tweak..:40_rage:
