Welcome to the DreamBoard Support Thread

Within this thread you will hopefully have your questions answered, and if not, don't be afraid to ask.

But PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THREAD, just in case they have been answered before.

When you post, Keep it together in one post, not broken into several posts, as they will be Edited or Deleted. Thank You.

In case you have also missed the other threads regarding DreamBoard, here they are.

Dreamboard themes are stored at /var/mobile/Library/DreamBoard

Make sure you check the files after download. Some theme files have internal folders and instructions. Failure to do so will result in Black Screens.

Latest Build 6/12

Just naming some of the new features:

- LockView, Dreamboard lockscreen (try Endroid)

- Dot notation actions (ex. views.myview.x = 5)

- New Expose style switcher

- Auto caching

- AdvWebView with keyboard

- if/then/else blocks for Actions

Instead of all that FrameX, FrameHeight... stuff, you just replace it with one

<key>Frame</key>

<string>x,y,width,height</string>

$ROOT is a great alternative to hard coding paths. Instead of "/DreamBoard/Endroid/Images/asdf.png" you would simply put "$ROOT/Images/asdf.png". Dreamboard will find that path for you.

To use:

1. Press the dreamboard icon on your homescreen

2. Wait for it to zoom out

3. Slide to the right or left to select themes

4. Tap on the the you would like to install

5. Wait for it to install

Known issues:

- No multitasking, on homescreen when in other themes

- No spotlight

- Sometimes switching themes will crash springboard (no idea why)

- Launching apps that you don't have will crash springboard

Configuring Endroid:

To set the weather, Tap the little "i" button in the top right corner of the clock. Enter your zip code and click set, if you are international, your code can be found at weather.com

To log in to facebook, launch safari, go to touch.facebook.com, login, and respring.

The "+" button at the bottom right corner toggles animated weather.

Dreamboard themes are stored at /var/mobile/Library/DreamBoard

Look at Endroid for examples as to how to make other themes.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can also delete the Var/Mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.IconsCache, that was posted on the mmi thread.
Seeing how this is all new to everybody including myself, I hate to say it, but the best support as of right now for this is on there, the author himself does help out when he can, so keep that in mind.
Another bug I figured out last night it might just be for the iPod 2G users but if your playing music and you open up DreamBoard it sends your device into safemode just a heads up to the iPod 2G users
if your lucky enough to have the beta installed, there is a update for it, if your happy with some configs you have made, ssh and copy the Endroid folder to your desktop, and upgrade and take the changes you made and put them in....note, not the whole folder you just copied, but the pieces you changed....made that mistake already:)
Secure shell (SSH) isn't ifile bud. Try anything like iPhonebrowser or winscp/cyberduck.
post-4961-0-20769300-1300408353_thumb.pn
btw changing button functions is quite easy. just edit the Endroid.plist and find the line
<string>com.wynd.backboard.no-ui</string>
and change it to any app you want it to launch e.g. mobileipod-AudioPlayer for the music app (ipod touch) dunno what the unified ipod is.
you also need to make a custom image and place it in DreamBoard/Endroid/Images/Apps
then find this line in the same plist its like 4/5 lines down from the the line you change to make it launch a different app
<string>/DreamBoard/Endroid/Images/Apps/BackBoard.png</string>
replace backboard.png with whatever you called your custom image. then respring and your all done :p
hope i made it clear for everyone :L enjoy
