Also to clarify only run the first mv command if your on build 8F455, if your not just skip the first command.

I am on 455. But, it says that the file cannot be found.

And it is still crashing for some reason.

If they are still hosting 1.0 on their repository then sure you can install that, something like this

apt-get install com.sull.example=1.0

Remember atv black consists of more than one package so you would have to know the version number of each package your wanting to downgrade.

Enjoy.

Hey guys,

So I ran the string of commands ssh'd in my apple tv to instal atvblack, i got a maintenance tab on my home screen, but when i click manage add ons, it just goes to a blank screen with add ons written at the top. I hit the center button on the remote and it it just goes back to the homescreen. Any ideas?

You need to install the rest of the software. Open up /etc/apt/sourced.list.d/firecore.list and see what other pieces of aTV Black you want installed. There might be another piece missing :)

Whoops sorry I didn't mean to give you the repo dir.

You can go into /var/lib/apt/lists/ open the fircore list and grab the Package names and install any packages like so

apt-get install com.example.package

EDIT:

apt-get install com.firecore.couchsurfer

^ that's one example, I'm not sure off hand what Packages your missing.

Atv Flash Black is out of beta now (I am on RC1) Is there anyway to get to 1.1.1 via ssh.

The Maintenance tab on Atv does not update/upgrade.

apt-get update

apt-get upgrade

does not go beyond RC1

Thanks In Advance

In a few minutes I am going to push an update for the package 'Firecore Repository' update this and then once you have updated the package you can run,

apt-get update

Now the vewer 1.1. 1 updates will be showing and you can get them :)

Hope this makes sense.

Yes you would have to do that. You must already know how to SSH into your aTV, so do that now and execute these commands.

echo "deb http://repo.insanelyi.com ios free" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/insanelyi.list

apt-get update

apt-get install com.sull.firecorerepository

apt-get update

Now you can run apt-get upgrade and the updates should be showing.

That's what I did, and it's asking me for a password. I tried alpine but it doesn't work ("Acces denied"). Any suggestions?

Haha lol I'm not that dumb, really :p. I tried all sorts of passwords, and no, caps lock wasn't on. I just don't know why the heck I can't get access to it. Hopefully an admin could help if he/she sees this post.
